Half Day Swimwear Workshop
Saturday, February 26th, 2011 from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m.
This half day workshop will include a short lecture coupled with 3 hours of shooting and lighting.
SKILL LEVEL – INTERMEDIATE
You must be comfortable with the operation of your camera.
Photographers!
Here is your opportunity for the intermediate photographer to gain the experience and training on photographing swimwear fashions in natural ambient light as I show you the best photography techniques for shooting during the mid-afternoon sun and at sunset on the beach. There will be a short 30-45 min lecture on giving direction, posing and lighting techniques. For the remainder of the time, each photographer will receive my assistance during their 1 on 1 shooting time with our model.
We will be going on location to a local beach with Raquel our beautiful swimwear model to work on posing, lighting techniques and composition. This workshop will give you the opportunity to work with a live model and gain the knowledge of posing and good communication skills as you are giving the model direction. We will also cover the use of mixed light sources and/or light modifiers. You will walk away from this class having created vibrant and classy catalogue type swimwear images.

We will break for dinner from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Then we will re-group for downloading, critique and simple post processing techniques from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Release of image usage will be limited to use in your portfolio and/or self marketing materials. Any additional usage must be negotiated directly with the MODEL!
